In The Scaffolders, vivid brushstrokes and layered textures transform a scene of everyday labour into a meditation on resilience and reconstruction. The composition unfolds across the rooftops of a small Black Forest town, where three men assemble a scaffolding beside a traditional house. Laime’s brushwork here is expressive yet controlled, revealing both structure and spontaneity.
