“Walking under the Sun” presents a hyper-charged, sun-drenched scene where a lone figure strides forward with striking confidence. The painting’s palette is dominated by incandescent oranges and yellows that evoke extreme heat, almost as if the ground itself were glowing. Against this fiery backdrop, the man’s bare torso becomes a focal point, rendered with bold, expressive brushstrokes that emphasise musculature and physical presence.

His posture suggests motion and determination: shoulders back, gaze fixed ahead, a cloth casually in hand. The jeans and flip-flops ground him in the everyday, creating a contrast between a contemporary figure and a nearly surreal environment. Behind him, the open car hints at departure or escape, but the narrative remains intentionally open.
